I've worked in a highly disciplined and regulated industry for quarter of a century. Along the way I have built & run businesses and helped others to do the same. In my roles as an airline manager and business coach, I have developed processes, procedures and checklists to optimise efficiency and customer satisfaction.
For nearly 15 years, I spent more time away from home than I have at home. My wife and children remember me as a vistor more than a husband or a father.
I made the change and gave up flying to purchase a business that was near bankruptcy. Taking my knowledge of business and strategic planning, processes, procedures, systems, human non-technical skills and financial management I flipped the business on its head and redesigned the entire business model which included, identification of a target market, streamlining of the pricing structure, removal of suppliers and customers that were not profitable, rebranding, social media presence and website creation, creation of standard operating procedures, retraining of all staff, reduction of staff capacity, reduction of operating hours and introduction of a niche market which has grown at a rate of 83% over the first 3 months of this financial year.
Through these changes I have taken the business from turning over $26/labour hour to $72.50/labour hour - all during the covid lockdowns.
The business continues to grow and expand as more people become aware of the services we provide and how we can make their life easier
